(More customer reviews)I don't know anything about San Diego history and have never read any other books on the subject. While reading this book, I was constantly asking myself "why?" and having to look up more complete explanations. I understand that this is meant to be a concise history, but for the uninitiated, there were too many holes for me to use this book without the aid of the internet and other sources. I almost felt as if I I were reading an elaborate Table of Contents... for an essay written by an undergraduate. This last part is personal preference and is just to say that I didn't care for her writing style, finding it quite dry.
