I've been playing squash for almost a year (after 20+ years of rball). I bought this racquet from a local shop for about $120 because I love Head's LM line for racquetball. I also bought a few cheaper ($50-80) Dunlops after demoing a few because I like to have a backup racquet and, as I'm ambidextrous, I like to play with a racquet in each hand (Left v Right, which hand is gonna win?).. yeah, there aren't enough people around for me to get games consistently.
ANYWAY... I really like the Head: the balance is good and the weight nice for a beginner trying to learn how to generate power. I've broken 2 dunlops, so far (I'm NOT buying another non-carbon racquet, that's for sure), but this Head keeps on ticking; because I'm a speed-reliant player, I tend to over-run the ball and frequently whack both back- and side-walls: the Head has survived a lot of impact.
I mentioned playing with 2 racquets because whichever hand has the Head tends to win so I feel there's SOMETHING to this racquet that the cheaper (M-Fils) Dunlops lack.
Having said that, I really don't like the squarish grip-shape on the Head, nor the default grip wrap. I find the Dunlops' smaller, more rounded grip better suited to my improving shot-making and I prefer the feel of the default Dunlop wrap.
I'm currently toying with switching to the Head LM120 (now that I have a better understanding of how to generate power, I don't need as much weight), but the Dunlop's grip keeps calling to me. Making the decision more complicated is this very low price at which I could pick up a couple more 140s..
Bottom line: it's a nice racquet, esp for beginners/low-intermediates, ESPECIALLY at this price.
Man, now I'm really torn...
