(More customer reviews)I am not a baseball card collector, although I have seen collections sell for Big Bucks. They can appraise for a lot of money and a probizappraial would be of value. I bought this particular collectible because Hank Sauer is a distant relative and his story is a little like Babe Ruth's. Hank Sauer, nicknamed "Hammering Hank" could knock them out of the ballpark..in the days before steroids were behind the strength and muscle of an athlete. More important, he loved kids. He always had time to play sandlot ball with the neighborhood kids and was not full of himself like our "Stars" of this age. He also served his country and put this ahead of his career. One day this baseball card will sell for 1,000 times what I paid for it. Until then, it will stay in the Sauer family to share with new generations.
