After visiting San Francisco briefly last year, I knew I wanted to learn more before I went back and this book covers it all.
The hotel information is broken down into areas (maps included) from expensive to inexpensive.
Restaurants are listed by cuisine, as well as price range.
Suggestions on sights for every interest from the norm to the slightly off the beaten path.
Highly informative chapter for foreign visitors. I even learned a few things and I live in the States.
The chapters on the wine country and history are the best I've seen in any one book.
All in all, a descriptive look at the city and surrounding areas without the travel brochure attitude - just straight forward facts.
